Juris Doctor Degree

Our program is for students interested in law and looking to obtain a Juris Doctor Degree with the goal of qualifying to sit for the State of California Bar Examination.

Educational Program

All classes are held online. The Socratic method of instruction is used in lecture/discussion settings, including student briefing of cases. Each class session provides ample opportunities for interchange between professor and student.
According to Dean Basil G. Dezes, the central goal of instruction is “to enable our students to become capable and effective advocates who evidence fairness and honesty toward their clients and the wider community.” 
Degree Program
Pacific Coast University, School of Law, offers a degree program: A Juris Doctor degree for students interested in law, which qualifies them to take the California Bar Examination. For students interested in acquiring a foundational understanding of the legal system that provides them an understanding of the intersection of law and public policy.


Tuition is due at the beginning of each school year. Tuition is charged on a per-year basis, payable in full. An application to participate in Pacific Coast University School of Law’s payment plan is available to all students in good standing. The payment plan is enumerated in the Student Information Handbook.

The tuition is currently established at $8500 for each academic year(1L, 2L, 3L & 4L) with yearly student fees of $1500, for a total amount of $10,000.00.

Pacific Coast University, School of Law provides a strong legal education for working individuals, whose only opportunity to attend law school is via a night program. Fee Schedule

The following fees are in addition to the yearly tuition of $8,500.00. Tuition and fees are subject to change from year to year. 

General Fees:

  • Application Fee: $35 (this is a one-time fee and is non-refundable)
  • Student Fees: $1500
  • Late Registration fee: $100
  • Make-up exam fee: $500
  • 4L Graduation fees: $500

The cost of mandatory course books is not included in the yearly 
tuition fees.
