Juris Doctor (JD) Degree Admission Criteria:
Applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree
Pacific Coast University, School of Law (“PCU”), considers for admission as Regular Student applicants who have earned a Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university accredited by one of the six regional accrediting agencies recognized by the CBE.
Applicants with an Associate’s Degree or Completion of 60 Semester Units or 90 Quarter Units
Applicants whose official transcripts verify completion of an Associate of Arts Degree with a satisfactory grade point average from an approved college may be admitted as Regular Students. Further, applicants whose official transcripts verify completion of sixty (60) academic semester units or ninety (90) academic quarter units with a minimum cumulative g.p.a. of 2.00 at approved institutions may be considered as well.
Special Students
Generally, these are applicants who, for one reason or another, have been unable to complete enough collegiate work to qualify under the Regular Student status.
These applicants must achieve the required scores listed below on designated College Level Examination Program (CLEP) examinations.
- The passing score for the mandatory English Composition (or) English Composition with Essay of 50 or higher
- Two of the following general examinations must also be taken, with a passing score of 50 or higher
- Humanities
- Mathematics
- Natural Sciences
- Social Sciences and History

To Apply for Admission, an Applicant MUST Complete the Following Steps:

- Complete and sign a PCU Admissions Application
- Submit a Personal Statement
- Submit two (2) Letters of Recommendation
- Submit Official Undergraduate School Transcripts or CLEP scores
- Submit the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) score
- Interview with Admissions Committee
